Managing Queued Jobs

In this section, you will learn how to manage queued jobs namely searching for specific jobs and filtering and sorting queued jobs.

Searching for Specific Queued Jobs

Imagine there are hundreds of jobs in queue within your environment or tenant, including those initiated by you and your team members. With the search feature, you can now easily find a specific job to view the priority, change the priority, or delete the job.

To search for a specific queued job, do the following:

  1. Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.

The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.

  1. In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the Queued tab, type the partial or full name of the queued job that you want to find.

The platform starts displaying the search results as you type

  1. Click a job and proceed to view the priority, change the priority, or permanently delete the job from the queue.

Filtering Queued Jobs

When there are several jobs in the queue initiated by you and your team members, you can use the filter feature and view queued jobs by the name of the uploader and/or specify a date range when the job was uploaded. You can also combine both filters to find queued jobs uploaded within a date range by a username or usernames.

Filtering by Uploader

View jobs by the username of the uploader.

To filter by username of the uploader, do the following:

  1. Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.

The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.

  1. In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the Queued tab, click the Filter icon.

The Jobs Filter dialog box is displayed.

  1. In the Jobs Filter dialog box, click the Uploaded by drop-down list, then select the checkbox(es) of the username(s) whose jobs you want to view.

The platform displays jobs run by the users you selected in the preceding step.

Filtering by Date Range

View jobs by the date range they were run in the platform.

To filter by date range, do the following:

  1. Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.

The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.

  1. In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the Queued tab, click the Filter icon.

The Jobs Filter dialog box is displayed.

  1. In the Jobs Filter dialog box, click the Date Range drop-down list, and then select the specific date range for which you want to view jobs.

The platform displays jobs that were run within the selected date range.

Sorting Queued Jobs

Sort and view jobs in ascending or descending order for Priority, Uploader, and Upload Time columns in the Queued tab.

Sorting by Priority

If you have several jobs in your environment or tenant, you can easily sort the queue in either ascending or descending order. This allows you to quickly identify the first and last job in the queue, making it easier to not just view but also set a new priority to queued jobs. See the chapter on Setting Custom Priority Numbers to set a new priority to queued jobs.

To sort by priority, do the following:

  1. Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.

The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.

  1. In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the Queued tab, click the Priority column to sort jobs in ascending or descending order.

Sorting by Uploaded By

If you have several jobs in your environment or tenant, you can easily sort the queue by username in either ascending or descending order.

To sort by Uploader, do the following:

  1. Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.

The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.

  1. In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the Queued tab, click the Uploaded By column to sort jobs in ascending or descending order.

Sorting by Upload At

If you have several jobs in your environment or tenant, you can easily sort the queue by uploaded time in either ascending or descending order.

To sort by Upload Time, do the following:

  1. Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.

The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.

  1. In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the Queued tab, click the Upload At column to sort jobs in ascending or descending order.
